Meine Meinung zum Film:
Schon lange habe ich nicht mehr so gelacht wie bei diesem Film. Er ist zwar eigentlich für Kinder gemacht, aber hat er soviel Esprit und einen Witz, der auch für ältere Seher passen ist. Außerdem steckt er voller zweideutiger Anspielungen, welche ganz besonders auf das ältere Publikum abziehen und ich fand es großartig.

Was mir am besten gefallen hat war die Stimme von Antonio Banderas, bzw. seine deutsche Übersetzung mit dem rollenden ‚R‘ und dem spanischen Akzent. Mein Lieblingssatz ist definitiv: ‚ Ich will ein Glas Leche…‘!
Natürlich versteht man es erst, wenn man den Film selber gesehen hat und die Aussprache der Wörter hört. Wirklich köstlich und ein unterhaltsamer Film, der für alle Generationen auf und ab gedacht ist.

Neben dem zauberhaften Kater und seinem Akzent, hat mir die bildliche Darstellung ebenso gut gefallen und es gab wirklich schöne Bilder mit atemberaubenden Szenerien. Schon alleine die Stelle, als sie in den Himmel gekommen sind oder sich dort aufgehalten haben.

Was ich etwas schräg fand war, dass dieser Humpty Dumpty auch im Film war, weil er erstens überhaupt nicht richtig rein gepasst hat und ich zweitens ständig darauf gewartet habe, dass jetzt auch gleich Alice irgendwo auftaucht. Das war ein etwas gruseliges Gefühl

Die Handlung war dafür, dass es ein Kinderfilm ist, ganz okay. Natürlich fehlt in solchen Filmen oft der tiefere Sinn, aber es war unterhaltsam und hat mir fast die ganze Zeit Freude bereitet. Zu Beginn habe ich mir vielleicht mehr Überraschungen erhofft, aber je weiter die Geschichte voran ging, desto absehbarer waren die Wendungen. Außerdem war es oft sehr ersichtlich, dass die Macher des Films sich gerne Mal was von anderen Filmen geklaut/ abgeschaut haben. Aber darüber konnte man schmunzeln und auch ein Auge zudrücken. Schon alleine, weil die Charaktere darin, ob jetzt der gestiefelte Kater, die Katze Pussy oder das kleine Huhn, einfach unglaublich süß und knuffig sind, dass einem das Herz aufgeht. Der Film hat mir wirklich gut gefallen und falls es einen zweiten Teil geben sollte, bin ich sicher auch wieder mit dabei.

Soundtrack:
War passend für den Film und hat mich auch hin und wieder zum mit schunkeln animiert.

Fazit:
Ein gelungener Film für Fans von Comic- oder Kinderfilmen und für Menschen, die noch jung geblieben sind und einmal wieder herzhaft lachen möchten.

My thoughts about this TV series:
I have already mentioned it in my book review, but I must say it here again: I am a huge fan of this series!!! Already with the first episode, already when I have seen the intro of it, it just blow me away and then after the complete first episode, I was totally excited about his fabulous series. I have sat before the PC completely fascinated and magnetized and I just didn’t want to miss a thing!
This new series is really wonderful and I can recommend it to everybody most warmly because it’s thrilling, you’ll get kidnapped into another world and will be carried away by the destinies of the family Stark. I’ve got here the same goose bumps like in the movies ‘Lord of the Rings’ and it’s just epic..

The dialogues are partly exact like they were in the books and therefore they fit perfectly to the scenery and the world, in which this story, around betrayal, intrigues, knights, passion, fear and hope, plays.
The adaption of the books to this TV series was done brilliantly by HBO and they haven’t changed a lot and if then only little things which maybe fit even little better. But the basic atmosphere and the cornerstones of the plot were just as they appeared in the book. *really great*

Furthermore I’m totally happy about the cast, particularly because there are many English and Scottish actors, what it makes together with the surrounding (which were shot primarily in Scotland) even more authentically..

Moreover, I’m at the latest since ‘Lord of the Rings’ a fan of Sean Bean and I couldn’t picture anybody else who would be better to play Eddard Stark. Also the other characters were chosen greatly, even if the children are a little older in this series than in the books. But I prefer it this way, than if they had chosen younger kids now and then they would have to exchange them later and that would have been worse. I’m absolutely pleased with the cast of Jon Snow, Tyrone, Arya, Bran or Robb. But I’m less happy with the choice of Catlyn Stark or Sansa. Although both of them aren’t one of my favorites or up to now I don’t even like them, not only because of their appearance in the TV series, but also from their behavior and personality in the series as well as in the books..

Soundtrack:
Like the series also the soundtrack to it is fabulous and I’m sure that the background music is one large part of the great atmosphere which is set very epic and theatrical – like it is required for the plot..

Fazit:
Everybody who hasn’t seen this series yet – please read the books before you watch it. But if you’re a none-reader, than just watch this TV series, because it’s really great and ‘cinema at its most‘!
One of the best literature adaptations of late!.

Meine Gedanken zur TV Serie:
Ich habe es auch schon bei meiner Rezension zum Buch erwähnt, aber ich muss es hier ein weiteres Mal erwähnen: Ich bin ein riesiger Fan dieser Serie!!! Schon bei der ersten Folge, als ich das Intro gesehen habe, blieb mir die Luft weg und dann nach der kompletten ersten Folge, war ich hin und weg. Ich bin wie gebannt vor dem PC gesessen, damit ich ja nichts verpasse!

Diese neue Serie ist wirklich großartig und ich kann sie nur jedem wärmstens empfehlen, weil es spannend ist, man in eine andere Welt entführt und von den Schicksalen der Familie Stark wie mitgerissen wird. Ich habe hier die gleiche Gänsehaut wie bei den Filmen ‚Herr der Ringe‘ bekommen und es ist einfach nur episch!
Die Dialoge sind teilweise genau aus dem Buch genommen und passen zur Szenerie und der Welt, in der diese Geschichte um Verrat, Intrigen, Rittern, Leidenschaft, Angst und Hoffnung, spielt..

Die Umsetzung von den Büchern zu dieser TV Serie hat HBO grandios hinbekommen und es wurde nicht viel verändert und wenn, dann nur Kleinigkeiten, die vielleicht sogar hin und wieder ein wenig besser passen. Aber die Grundatmosphäre und die Eckpfeiler der Handlung, sind genauso wie sie im Buch vorkommen. *wirklich toll*.

.Auch bin ich begeistert von der Besetzung, ganz besonders weil es viele englische und schottische Schauspieler sind, was es zusammen mit der Umgebung (welche hauptsächlich in Schottland gedreht wurden) noch authentischer macht. Außerdem bin ich spätestens seit ‚Der Herr der Ringe‘ ein Fan von Sean Bean und ich könnte mir keinen besseren für Eddard Stark vorstellen. Auch die anderen Figuren wurden grandios besetzt, auch wenn die Kinder in der Serie schon älter sind als in den Büchern. Aber es ist mir lieber so, als wenn sie jetzt jüngere genommen hätte und sie später ausgetauscht hätten. Ich bin total glücklich mit der Besetzung von Jon Snow, Tyrone, Arya, Bran oder Robb, Dany oder Khal Drogo. Weniger glücklich bin ich mit der Wahl von Catlyn Stark oder Sansa. Obwohl mir die beiden bisher sowieso am unsympathischsten sind, nicht nur von ihrem Aussehen in der Serie, sondern auch von ihrem Verhalten und ihren Charakter in der Serie, wie auch im Buch.

Soundtrack:
Wie die Serie selber ist auch der Soundtrack dazu grandios und ich bin mir sicher, dass dieser einen sehr großen Teil der tollen Atmosphäre beiträgt und sehr episch und theatralisch gehalten ist – so wie es die Handlung erfordert.

Fazit:
Jeder, der diese Serie noch nicht gesehen hat – bitte vorher die Bücher lesen und dann schauen. Aber falls ihr keine Leser seid, dann einfach die Serie ansehen, sie ist wirklich ‚ganz großes Kino‘!!
Eine der besten Literaturadaptionen der letzten Zeit!

My thoughts about the book:
It is hard for me to write a proper objective review for this book, because I’ve already known the plot from the TV series on HBO and there I was from the first episode on, a huge fan of this world and their characters. But I can still say that the plot is throughout the book very exciting and thrilling and if you start it you won’t be able to put it down anymore, because you’ll always want to know what happens next to the members of the family Stark.

This book deals with knights, castle ladies, sword fights, love, betrayal, intrigues and strong characters who aren’t able to be clearly divided in the categories ‘good and bad‘ or ‚black and white‘, but appear as so multi-layered, as life itself.
At first the plot plays in Winterfell, where the residence of the Starks is and in which Eddard Stark rules as the lord. Everything seems good, till the time when the royal family with their subjoinder appears to offer Eddard, briefly Ned, the title as the right hand of the king. As a result the events kill themselves and soon Ned isn’t able to distinguish friend from enemy any more. The family is split apart when some of them join the king to follow him into the south to the capitol city King’s Landing.

What I have liked very much in this book, was that every chapter was dedicated to another character and thereby I got an insight of the different feelings and thoughts of each character. Mostly the story was told by the members of the family Starks, but also the dwarf Tyrion Lannister got a chance to speak in between the chapters.
My favorite character is, as well as already in the TV series, the bastard son of Ned, Jon Snow. Which already has to deal his whole life with the burden to be an illegitimate child of an unknown woman of whom also his father don’t want to talk about or want to tell Jon anything about her. Jon is intelligent, brave, courageous and he rather wants to make something of himself than to be a burden to others and so he decides to put on the black uniform to serve northwards on the wall. I just like him so much and he’s simply great and I hope to read a lot more of him.
I was also a big fan of Arya, the youngest and at the same time also the wildest daughter of Ned. As usual, I fall for the stubborn characters which stings out with their esprit, stubbornness, recalcitrant and intelligence and therefore the dwarf Tyrion also belongs to my favorites. And I also like Dany and the Khal Drogo (certainly because I already know the TV series *yummy* ^^).
Up to now I couldn’t relate with the mother Catlyn Stark or the oldest daughter Sansa, as well as with a few other characters which stand out by their intrigues and wrong tongues.

The book kidnaps the reader in another fascinating world and I highly want to recommend it to everybody who likes to read about other worlds or who is a fan of ‘The Lord of the Rings‘. Though these books are easier to read and aren’t described so overloaded, Martin’s writing style is still equipped with melodic formulation and dialogues which fit perfectly to the scenery, but he doesn’t exaggerate it. And with that he has made a friend with me.

I find the new cover creation of the German books boring and I fear that thereby many readers won’t reach out for it and will overlook this great book. .

All in all:
I’m sold on this book although I’ve already known the plot, but still I can’t wait to read further.

Meine Gedanken zum Buch:
Es ist schwer für mich dieses Buch objektiv zu bewerten, da ich die Handlungen schon von der TV Serie von HBO kannte und von der ersten Folge an, ein Fan dieser Welt und ihren Charakteren war. Aber ich kann trotzdem behaupten, dass es durchwegs spannend ist und man immer weiter lesen bzw. in meinem Fall zuerst immer weiter schauen wollte, um zu erfahren was als nächstes mit den Mitgliedern der Familie Stark passiert, da sich die Geschichte im ersten Buch um deren Leben dreht.

Dieses Buch handelt von Rittern, Burgfräulein, Schwertkämpfen, Liebe, Verrat, Intrigen und starken Charakteren, welche nicht in ‚gut und schlecht‘ oder ‚schwarz und weiß‘ einzuteilen sind, sondern so vielschichtig auftreten, wie das Leben selbst. Zuerst spielt die Handlung in Winterfell, der Wohnort der Starks, in welcher Eddard Stark als Lord herrscht. Alles scheint gut, bis die königliche Familie samt Anhang erscheint um Eddard, kurz Ned, den Titel als rechte Hand des Königs anzubieten. Daraufhin erschlagen sich die Ereignisse und bald weiß Ned, nicht mehr Freund von Feind zu unterscheiden. Die Familie wird gespalten, als sich ein Teil von ihr mit dem König Richtung Süden nach King’s Landing aufmacht.

Was mir besonders gut gefallen hat war, dass jedes Kapitel einem anderen Charakter gewidmet war und man dadurch Einblicke in die verschiedenen Gefühlswelten und Gedanken bekommen konnte. Hauptsächlich erzählten hier abwechselnd die Familienmitglieder der Starks, aber es kam auch der Zwerg Tyrion Lannister zu Wort.
Mein Lieblingscharakter ist, wie auch schon in der Fernsehserie, der Bastardsohn von Ned, Jon Snow. Welcher schon sein ganzes Leben mit der Bürde Leben muss, ein uneheliches Kind einer unbekannten Frau zu sein, von der ihm nicht mal sein Vater erzählen möchte. Jon ist intelligent, heldenhaft, mutig und er möchte mehr aus sich machen als anderen zur Last zu fallen und entscheidet sich das Schwarz anzulegen, um auf der Mauer gen Norden zu dienen. Ich finde ihn einfach klasse und hoffe noch viel, viel mehr von ihm zu lesen.
Auch war ich begeistert von Arya Stark, die jüngste und zugleich auch wildeste Tochter von Ned. Wie immer verfalle ich den etwas bockigen Charakteren, die durch Witz, Eigensinnigkeit und Intellekt hervor stechen, und somit gehört auch der Zwerg Tyrion zu meinen Lieblingen. Und ich mag auch Dany und den Khal Drogo (aber sicher weil ich die Serie schon kenne *yummy* ^^).
Bisher konnte ich mit der Mutter Catlyn Stark oder der älteren Tochter Sansa weniger anfangen, sowie mit ein paar anderen Charakteren, die durch Intrigen und falschen Zungen auffallen.

Das Buch entführt den Leser in eine andere Welt und ich lege es jedem wärmstens ans Herz, der gerne über andere Welten liest oder wer ein Fan von ‚Herr der Ringe‘ war. Diese Bücher sind zwar nicht so überladen beschrieben, dennoch ist Martins Schreibweise bestückt mit melodischen Formulierungen und Dialoge, die zur Szenerie passen, aber er übertreibt es nicht. Und damit hat er sich einen Freund mit mir gemacht.

Cover:
Die neue Covergestaltung der deutschen Bücher finde ich sehr langweilig und ich fürchte, dass dadurch viele Leser nicht danach greifen und dieses tolle Buch übersehen werden.

All in all:
Ich bin begeistert von dem Buch obwohl ich die Handlung schon kannte und kann es nicht erwarten weiter zu lesen.
